Surfer girls Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Greene ride waves in Bali (and squeeze in tanning time too)

Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Greene sure made a splash during a girls' getaway in Bali this week.
The friends left their worries behind to share a marvelous time in the sun during another day at the Oakley Pro Bali/Learn To Surf event in Indonesia.
When Ashley, 26, and Vanessa, 24, weren't soaking up the rays on the beach, they were having a blast shooting the curl in the waters off Indonesia on Wednesday.

Vanessa was trim and slim in black bikini bottoms and clingy short-cropped top as she splashed around the waves.
The young star's long dark locks was a mass of wet coils but she was having too much fun to care about her hair.
Vanessa was in a playful mood, at one point sticking out her tongue as she wades in the shallows.

Balancing: The 24-year-old star had a really good groove going

Ashley also took to the waves, showing that she can balance on a surfboard very well.
At one point the dark-haired actress was seen coasting a wave with a huge smile and raised arms.
Later on the exotic beauty was seen lounging on a yacht alongside Ashley, both wearing similar black bikinis.
Ashley's two-piece suit featured a halter top while Vanessa's was a classic string variety.
Vanessa kept her unruly tresses in check beneath a reversed black baseball cap, and reflective shades helped to keep the sun out of her eyes.

The Twilight actress meanwhile wore no such covering, preferring to feel the sun from head to foot. 
This was Day 2 of the Oakley Pro Bali, which runs through June 29 and is intended to raise awareness and funds for reef health and conservation through its partnership with Reef Check Foundation.
The girls looked pretty and ready for a good time as they arrived at the fundraiser's opening event on Tuesday.

On that occasion Vanessa wore a Bohemian-inspired frock of red paisley design and high heeled brown leather platforms.
Ashley paraded her athletic figure in a tight-fitting canary-yellow dress that she paired with T-strap flat sandals.  
Ashley's satisfaction was evident when she tweeted on Wednesday three simple little words: 'Life. Is. Good.'
